It all starts with Daddy Wong and Mommy Wong. They grew up in the same small city in the province of Guangdong, China but didn’t meet each other until friends introduced them when they moved to Hong Kong where Daddy Wong was a trained jewelry bench worker. Since then, the rest is history and Daddy and Momma Wong fell in love and got married.
In 1988, Daddy and Momma Wong immigrated to Tennessee together to live the American Dream.
Because Daddy Wong was a trained jeweler, he continued his work as a bench worker at a jewelry store. He would work at the store during the day and work freelance jobs at night. Eventually, he saved up enough money to become a sole freelancer for multiple jewelry stores in this new American city–deemed as “the best jeweler in the city” by many. Since then, our parents have wanted me and my 2 older brothers to help him start a family store because their English was very poor. We all 3 brushed him off…

…Until my full-time marketing job in New York City allowed me the opportunity to work with luxury watches and jewelry brands like Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Tiffany & Co. and many more. When I told Daddy Wong about this, he lit up with so much joy and this journey sparked my interest to preserve his legacy to start… August Emeralds.
Inspired by my loving and supportive parents, August Emeralds is dedicated to them:
August being the birth month of Daddy Wong

Emeralds being the birthstone of Momma Wong’s birth month, May.
Future
With August Emeralds, I hope to preserve Daddy Wong’s legacy and build a community that honors the past, present, and future with tangible keepsakes that last a lifetime.
